The Nar Phu Valley indeed is a relatively new trek route in Nepal. Nevertheless Nar Phu Trekking is more of cultural trekking region; Nar and Phu are ancient villages comprising ageless Tibetan lifestyle. Additionally this is mostly combined with Annapurna Trail trekking. Also this route is full of exhilarating rugged landscape and jaw dropping vistas. Also opened in 2002 Nar Phu Trekking area follows Annapurna Circuit via narrow canyons, forests, monasteries surrounded by some of tallest peaks in the world. It is also an important religious site in Nepal. In fact this region is also popular for its landscape features and views of Annapurna Himalayan range. You will find amazing rock formations, yaks, Kang La Pass and unique Himalayan cultures in this trek.

Furthermore while trekking the standard Annapurna circuit, the bridge leading over Maryland River to steep portals of the Nar Phu valley system is easily missed here. In spite of the entrances being narrow and forested, on the contrary the valley system above opens up to a huge expanse of high snow-peaks, ancient villages and high altitude grazing settlements. Buddhist pilgrims from around Nepal might accompany us up to Phu to visit the renowned Tashi Lhakhang monastery and receive a blessing from Lama Karma Sonam Rinpochhe.
